Polar Circle Marathon - Greenland
The run is for the more adventurous, tougher runner that can cope with the cold, ice, snow and steep
ascents over the whole 42 kilometres. It is a hard route, during which the run takes us past ice and snow
apart from when we run on it! The marathon takes place during the beginning of the Greenlandic winter,
however it has yet to fully take hold. We expect lots of ice, sunshine and blue skies as a backdrop to this adventure.
Big Five Marathon
Nestled in the heart of Big Five country in South Africa's Limpopo province lies Entabeni Game Reserve with
12.000 hectares of pristine African Bush veldt and bustling with a huge diversity of mammal and bird species.
This enchanting landscape is dominated by the majestic sandstone rock formation 'Entabeni' and is the scene
for our "Big Five Marathon", where we will actually be running among Africa's famous big five: elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard, a good incentive to better your personal best!
The marathon will include a steep run up the escarpment, over a number of small hills and easy river crossings.
