West Cornwall & Land's End Peninsula Guidebook
Reid (Author), Neil (Author) This guide covers the far west of Cornwall following the coast from St Ives and Zennor around the dramatic West Penwith cliffs to Land s End and then along the
softer south coast taking in Lamorna, Mousehole, Penzance, St Michael s Mount and finally Prussia Cove. There are stunning beaches try surfing at Sennen or at
Porthmeor in St Ives under the gaze of visitors to the Tate St Ives or the sublime beach at Porthcurno. Wander along the sands at Marazion and cross the
causeway to the magical St Michael s Mount. The Things to do section suggests different activities for all ages and all weathers including advice on the best way
to get around, family (and dog) friendly beaches and a special section on exploring the ancient sites and industrial archaeology. Walking in Cornwall is a
hugely popular activity. This guidebook covers the whole coast path along with many inland walks, which are illustrated by detailed maps, instructions and photographs....
Paperback: 60 pages; Publisher: Friendly Guides; 1 edition (1 Aug 2008); ISBN-10: 1904645054; ISBN-13: 978-1904645054.
Walking in the Isles of Scilly: A Guide to Exploring the Islands
Paddy Dillon (Author) This is a detailed guide to walking throughout the islands. It is a new edition of the original and most
comprehensive guide to this beautiful and unspoilt area. It details of boat trips between the islands, and other
useful information for exploration on foot. Basking in sunshine, rising green and pleasant from the blue
Atlantic Ocean, fringed by rugged cliffs and sandy beaches, the Isles of Scilly are a joy to explore. The Isles
form the smallest of Britain's Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and their historic shores have been
designated as Heritage Coast. The surrounding sea is protected as a marine park. Archaeological remains
abound, not only on the islands, but submerged beneath the sea. While the walks in this guidebook could be
completed in as little as a week, a fortnight would allow a much more leisurely appreciation of the islands, and leave you with memories that will last a lifetime.
Paperback: 200 pages; Publisher: Cicerone Press; Third edition (28 Feb 2009); ISBN-10: 1852845864; ISBN-13: 978-1852845865.
