The Province of Luxembourg is located in the Southeast of Belgium, bordered by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the east and by France to the south. It's the largest province in Belgium of which almost one half is covered by forests.

It borders on the Belgian provinces of Namur and Liège and covers two Walloon regions : the Ardennes on the north part and the Gaume on the south part.

This country of forests is also a 'land of rivers and streams'. The Ourthe, Semois, Lesse, Sûre and Aisne rivers have carved themselves some very picturesque valleys.

Except for the main centres of Bastogne, Bouillon, Durbuy, La Roche, Marche, Saint-Hubert and Virton which are themselves only small towns, the landscape is strewn with quaint little villages.

In the Middle Ages Bouillon was a lordship within the Duchy of Lower Lorraine and the principal seat of the Ardennes-Bouillon dynasty in the 10th and 11th century. Bouillon Castle is located above the town centre and a popular tourist attraction.
  Ciney
Ciney especially enjoys a reputation for its beer with the same name that was first brewed in Ciney. Located in the village of Conjoux: the caves of Conjoux, a Marian pilgrimage site, consisting of eighteen artificial caves in the form of a rosary. Also the "Linde of Conjoux", one of the oldest, largest and thickest lime trees in Belgium

  Durbuy   -   one town, 12 villages
Durbuy was an important centre of commerce and industry in medieval times. In 1331 the town got its city rights by John I, Count of Luxemburg, and King of Bohemia. Nowadays tourism and recreation are its main activities. The village of Wéris, well known for its megaliths, is located in the municipality of Durbuy.
  Gedinne   -   gateway to Namur Semois
Gedinne is where the Namur landscape reaches its highest point: the massive of "La Croix-Scaille", once a stronghold of the Resistance, has now become a paradise for forest lovers. It's the crossroad of many very nice hiking routes that wind through the wildlife revealing its botanic and animal jewels. See also Valleys of the Namur Ardennes.
  Han-sur-Lesse   -   Maison de la vie Paysanne   -   Museum
Village in the municipality of Rochefort, Namur Province. Here you find exceptional caves carved under a nearby hill by the river Lesse, which tourists reach via a preserved remnant of the country's vicinal tramway system.
  La Roche en Ardenne   -   Touristic Capital of the Belgian Ardennes
Located beside a bend in the River Ourthe. This the small town is one of the more popular tourist destinations in the Ardennes.

Unofficial capital of the Famenne region. Home of several museums, like a lace museum and the Famenne museum [ overview of the region's art and history ].
  Neufchâteau 
At the heart of the Ardennes, Neufchâteau deploys its natural treasures. In the green valleys of the Pays de la Forêt Anlier where rivers flow full off the fish. Perhaps you will hear the bellowing deer.
Wild and mysterious, the region is left to explore. Below the city, the Neufchâteau Lake offers relaxation and recreation. The wooded forests and villages and welcoming flowers will delight visitors who love nature, quietness and authenticity.
  Virton   -   Virton is the most southerly town in Belgium

  Vresse   -   art village on the boards the Semois near the French border

  Archaeological Museum of Arlon
For several decades, the Archaeological Museum of Arlon houses the largest collection of carved blocks Gallo-Roman throughout Belgium. These private and public monuments, funerary or religious, as well as the rest of the archaeological material, give visitors a glimpse of what life was like for our ancestors the Gallo-Romans. Started in late December 1944 and was the last major German offensive on the Western Front during World War II.
  Canadian War Museum   -   Newspaper Archive
During the Second World War, the staff of the century-old Hamilton Spectator newspaper kept its own monumental record of the war. This collection of more than 144,000 newspaper articles, manually clipped, stamped with the date, and arranged by subject, includes news stories and editorials from newspapers, mostly Canadian, documenting every aspect of the war.

  Maison de la Culture d'Arlon

  Museum Gaspar
The Gaspar Museum takes its name from a family of bourgeois origin Arlon, installed in this house built in 1842 , in the late 19th century. The two main representatives are Jean-Marie Gaspar (1861-1931), sculptor and Charles Gaspar (1871-1950), photographer and philanthropist. The latter bequeathed his house in the city of Arlon with the condition that a museum devoted to the work of his brother, sculptor and honoring the history and heritage of Arlon.
