Moccas Court Replaced an old manor house which once stood next to the church in Moccas. It is a fine Georgian country
house built between 1776 and 1783 by the Cornewall family. The area between the rivers Wye and Usk is a land full of characters from Arthurian Romance and the Grail
Quest. Moccas (the name Moccas probably derives from the Welsh Moch-ros, or swine moor) is reputed to
be the site of the residence of Llacheu, son of King Arthur. Also there was the abbey of Saint Dubric or Dubricius, the bishop who crowned Arthur.

Hertfordshire - The Glorious County
Michael and June Massey (Author) Although Hertfordshire is not able to boast breath-taking coastlines, expansive sea views or rugged contours, its beautiful villages, rolling
landscapes, majestic churches, lush woodlands, scenic waterways, busy nature reserves, striking parklands, imposing country houses and
unique and striking towns are more than enough to earn it the title of "glorious". In addition to its literary and industrial connections,
Hertfordshire is also proud to play host to cultural icons such as the Henry Moore Foundation and a rich Roman heritage. In this wide-ranging collection of more than 140 superb colour images,
June and Michael Massey share both some of the more well-known and less familiar splendours of Hertfordshire.
