Östersund - City of Ostersund
With a population of 58,000, Östersund is the only city in the county of Jämtland. It is situated by the Lake
Storsjön. The mountain resort Åre is about an hour away, by car, while you get to Stockholm in 50 minutes, by air, and in less than five hours, by express train.

Härjedalen
Härjedalen is one of the highest located provinces in Sweden above sea level and with a unique kind of nature, summertime as well as winter.
Härjedalen is more than 12,000 square kilometers with only 11,000 inhibitants with miles of forests, small
creeks, fishing waters, light summer nights and unlimited possibilities for exciting adventures. Easy-to-climb
mountains, even for the beginner, makes it easy for the whole family to share the experience.
Härjedalen has a number of biking trails. Lots of mountains, but well worth it. From the bike you have every
oppurtunity to see eagles, reindeers, moose, beavers, and all the other wild animals that are so common in the area.
