Castellón de la Plana - Capital city of the province of Castelló
The mountain range known as Desert de les Palmes rises inland north of the town. Most of the historical buildings are located in the diminutive old town, around the Plaça Major (Main Square). See hTourist Board Castellon and Virtual trip Castellon

Denia - Ajuntament de Denia [ Town Hall Denia ]
Gandia - city and municipality
Gandia is located on the Costa del Azahar, 65 km south of Valencia and 96 km north of Alicante.
It was an important cultural and commercial centre during the 15th and 16th centuries: in the 15th it had a
university. It was home to several important poets including Ausiàs March, and produced the novelist Joanot
Martorell, but it is perhaps best known for the Borgias, through their family title, Duke of Gandia.
Peñíscola Situated to the north of the province of Castellón, in the lower Maestrazgo region, Peñiscola is one of the
privileged towns which have conserved part of the magic from times gone by on each of its corners and squares in the old town centre.
A unique old town centre on an isthmus which stretches into the sea; the narrow streets paved with boulders, squares of a clear and leisurely Mediterranean flavour, whitewashed houses, hermitages
dedicated to virgins, and murals which have protected and seen such illustrious figures such as Jaime I, Pope Luna, Felipe V and more. It is a popular tourist destination. See Ajuntament de Peníscola. Castelló and Todo Peniscola

Vinaròs - town and municipality in the province of Castelló
The town, on the shore of the Mediterranean sea, is an important fishing harbour and tourist destination.
Vinaròs has so much to offer for you to enjoy its 12 km coast-line, starting from the Sénia River up to the
Aiguadoliva gully, with more than 20 small coves protected by rocks, unique scenery, and fine sandy beaches in front of the promenade.
The coast of Vinaròs is divided in three areas: the coves of the north, the beaches in the middle, and the
coves of the south. The biggest point of attraction are the beaches in the middle, because they are situated close to the urban area.
In areas close to Vinaròs, remains of Iberian villages can be found (El Perengil, and El Puig de la Misericordia ).
Defensive architecture in the town is very prominent, as can be seen In the fortress-like Església Arxiprestal
de l'Assumpció [ Archpriestal Church of the Assumption of Our Lady ], built in 1583-1596 in Renaissance style, but with a Baroque portal [ 1698–1702 ]. See hMunicipality Vinaros and Tourist Board Vinaros.
Javea / Xabia - Xabia.org Jávea, framed by the Capes of La Nau and Sant Antoni on the shores of the Mediterranean sea, is a town of
great beauty, magical landscapes, a haven of peace and serenity. Here, Nature has been so generous and
splendid that it is difficult to find a similar place. The sea is pure blue, clean and revealing. The mountain,
washed by the Mediterranean sea, offers us lush vegetation and many local species of flora and fauna.

Cuisine - Gastronomy
Being a mountainous province bathed in the sea provides Castellón with all the ingredients for a very rich and varied cuisine.
Rice, vegetables, fish and seafood are the basic elements of our coast's cookery. It would be hard to conceive of a celebration of any sort without the emblematic paella.
Regional products: Benicaló Artichoke, Caudiel and La Salzadella Cherries, Vinaròs King Prawn, Carmelite
Liqueur from Benicàssim, Segarra Liqueur and Cognac, Alto Palancia Ham, Aceites de Castellón, Catí Cheese, Oranges and Lemons.
Peñiscola is a town with a maritime tradition which is reflected in its rich gastronomy; the fish and seafood is the basis of its cuisine.
You can taste the well-known and delicious paella in which seafood is combined with vegetables from the
Peñiscola vegetable gardens, not forgetting to try the "suquet de pex" (fish), the "arrossejat" (rice dish), the
"all I pebre de rap" (monkfish), the "fideua" (noodle paella dish), "cargols punxents" (whelk), the "remesclo",
date mussels or the different forms in which gilthead bream, sea bass or seafood are cooked.
Music, Art & Culture, Events Costa Calida
In terms of architecture, the grandiose wealth of styles ranges from the Romanesque of Castelfort, to Valencian Modernism, notably represented in Castellón - Costa Azahar.
