  Bastogne   -   Bastogne Tourism
The Region of Bastogne is made up of five separate communes: a provincial township, Bastogne, and its four communes are characterized by a strong rural feel: Bertogne, Fauvillers, Sainte-Ode and Vaux-sur-Sûre.
These communes offer you a rich, well-conserved natural environment, in which you can choose to spend your stay in bed-and-breakfast style lodging, or even on a farm in the heart of Ardennes country. See aslo City of Bastogne.

Province of Luxembourg   -   the true Belgian Ardennes
The Province of Luxembourg is located in the Southeast of Belgium, bordered by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the east and by France to the south. It's the largest province in Belgium of which almost one half is covered by forests.
This country of forests is also a 'land of rivers and streams'. The Ourthe, Semois, Lesse, Sûre and Aisne rivers have carved themselves some very picturesque valleys.
Except for the main centres of Bastogne, Bouillon, Durbuy, La Roche, Marche, Saint-Hubert and Virton which are themselves only small towns, the landscape is strewn with quaint little villages.

  Ferme des Bisons
Known under the generic name of "The Bison Farm", the tourist centre gives visitors the chance to learn more about this legendary animal.

History of the Ardennes

The strategic position of the Ardennes has made it a battleground for European powers for centuries.
The Ardennes is well known because of the Battle of the Bulge [ WW II ].

  Bastogne Historical Center
In order to perpetuate the memory of the last German offensive and of the historical siege of the city of Bastogne, the Bastogne Historical Center has installed in its star-shaped building two reconstruction scenes, an American one and a German one, which allow visitors to relive, with realism and a lot of details, moments of the battle and the soldiers's daily life.

  Giants of Bastogne
The giants of Bastogne have been created in 1958. Trouffet, typical inhabitant of the Ardenne, is a legendary personage who's feats were told during long evenings. Marie-Jeanne was a merchant who made the reputation of the Ardenne ham. Their son, Tanta, is closer to the folklore of the city. You can meet the giants each year at the time of the carnival.

  Arlon Carnaval
The Piches Cacayes [ Bastogne ]
The Piche Cacaye is the key character in the legend of Bastogne. Piche Cacaye is in Bastogne what Titi is in Paris or Ketche in Brussels. You can meet the Piches Cacayes during the carnival period each year. See Le Pat'Carnaval de Bastogne
