Beijing is the Capital City of China.

The urban and suburban areas of the city are divided into eight districts: Chaoyang District, Chongwen District, Dongcheng District, Fengtai District, Haidian District, Shijingshan District, Xicheng District, and Xuanwu District.

Major neighbourhoods in urban Beijing include Andingmen, Beiyuan, Chaoyangmen, Dongzhimen, Fangzhuang, Fuchengmen, Fuxingmen, Guomao, Hepingli, Wangjing, Wangfujing, Wudaokou, Xidan, Xizhimen, Yayuncun, and Zhongguancun. 

Beijing Municipality borders Hebei Province to the north, west, south, and for a small section in the east, and Tianjin Municipality to the southeast.

Beijing Botanical Garden is a large 400 Hectare park in the northwestern outskirts of the Beijing between Xiangshan [ at the foot of the Fragrant Hills ] Park and Jade Spring Mountain in the Western Hills.

Situated at the heart of Beijing, the Palace Museum is approached through Tiananmen Gate. Immediately to the north of the Palace Museum is Prospect Hill (also called Coal Hill), while on the east and west are Wangfujing and Zhongnanhai neighborhoods. It is a location endowed with cosmic significance by ancient China's astronomers.
